Rotary Nakshatra Garden

Rotary Nakshatra Garden Project is started by Rotary Club of Kolhapur  4 years ago. In June 2009 the project obtained open  space behind Rajaram College and Government Polytechnic, which was selected for Rotary Nakshatra Garden. In this project  botanical garden, Medicine Plants, Rock garden, Nakshatra garden with rain water harvesting have been combined together . In June 2009, 125 trees with tree guards  were planted. Today all these 125 trees have burgeoned to full capacity.  25 to 30 more trees are added further. In second phase we are going to block rain water with rain water harvesting and plant 500 more trees. A committee has been appointed for five years to monitor this project. We have obtained written approval from Rajaram college, Government Polytechnic college and Public Works Department(PWD) for this project. This is a permanent project helpful to environment as we as human being and in turn whole ecology in the surrounding area. Everybody must participate and contribute to this project with leading hands. Everyone’s efforts are necessary in order to make this project green successful reality . This is a eco friendly grand idea  of not only planting trees but also nurture them and protect them.

The expected expense will be Rs. 2000/- per tree. It is possible to sponsor these trees in the memory of loved ones. The sponsorer’s name will be highlighted near each tree. We appeal you to sponsor these trees and help us to achieve a grand success in this project. Planting a single tree we can return our Mother Earth enhanced life.
