Date: 11th April 2026 An inspiring and informative programme for Parkinson’s patients and their families was successfully held in Kolhapur with great enthusiasm. The main objective of the programme was to provide emotional support, promote positivity, and create awareness about the condition in society. The programme commenced with a ceremonial tree worship by the dignitaries, and the Chief Guest, renowned neurologist Dr. Snehaldatt Shrikrishna Khade, was felicitated with a bouquet. The introductory address was delivered by Rtn. Arunkumar Goenka, who explained the purpose of the programme and highlighted the importance of social support and a positive environment for Parkinson’s patients. Rtn. Dr. Dileep Shah, who regularly conducts laughter therapy sessions every Saturday, is also contributing significantly to the well-being of the patients. In his guidance, Dr. Khade provided detailed information about Parkinson’s disease and emphasised the importance of regular treatment, exercise, a positive outlook, and strong family support. The programme also featured wonderful performances by Parkinson’s patients, including singing, dancing, and other activities, which won the hearts of the audience. Their confidence and determination were truly inspiring. |
